The feature length documentary, “Beyond the Bombs” will make its worldwide debut at this year’s Hoboken International Film Festival on May 22nd. The documentary follows Iranian metal band Underground Dreams journey from Iran to LA as they risk everything to take a chance and pursue their dream of a music career after hiding in the underground music scene in Tehran. The trio of musicians secretly work via Skype with now labelmate and producer, Paul Lewis while navigating imposed sanctions on Iran and the ban on metal music. After sorting through a multitude of Visa issues, one of which being no US embassy in their country, the band finally makes it out of Iran to escape the bomb ridden country. Upon arriving in the US, they begin to feel both the exhilaration of freedom to create and perform their music, while simultaneously facing the loss of potentially being unable to return to their families, if they release the music and documentary. They find themselves feeling stuck in Los Angeles on a roller coaster between freedom and fear that leads to gut wrenching lyrical journeys, emotional peaks and valleys and ultimately a choice for their dream. Award winning singer/songrwriter/producer/actor Paul Lewis will attend a screening of the feature film Days of Power on March 23rd at Penn Cinema in Wilmington, DE at 7:30PM and on March 30th at Cinemark Egyptian in Hanover, MD. Paul is one of the lead actors and created the score for the film along with his producing partner Lance Davis. Tickets are limited and on sale now at the days of power website or on their fundraising site here The event will help raise funds for the local non profit Faithful Friends and will help raise awareness about adopting instead of shopping for your next companion animal.

The final single to be released from the Days of Power Soundtrack made it’s way to streaming and download music stores today. The song is co-written by actor/songwriter/producer Paul Lewis, Alysia Reid co-producer of the film and Marco Riva (formerly of YNOT?!) and peformed by Paul Lewis and features Alyssa Lee Lewis. Days of Power is in theatres now and the full sountrack will  be available on February 28th 2017.

Paul Lewis is currently in the studio working on his next solo CD which will feature a number of special guests. The yet to be named CD, which he began recording over the summer, will be recorded in multiple studios on the East Coast and is slated for release early 2017. Paul Lewis and his Vocal Super group TruVox will be releasing three new singles in 2015 and early 2016. Announcements about the group and upcoming performances will be announced in October 2015.

The screening is private and will feature a Q & A from some of the cast members. Paul Lewis returns to the stage in a special one night only performance at the World Cafe Live in Wilmington, DE featuring special guests. The performance will reveal new music  along with older favortites. Paul has been busy finishing a feature film that he stars in alongside Eric Roberts and indie musicians from around the world. Paul Lewis will be portraying the role of Travis in the upcoming film “Days of Power”.
